My knee is still giving me limited mobility so I’ve been abandoned
for the day by Mr and Miss Glis who had other important things to attend to. A day alone is a rare opportunity to do the
things I never usually have time for (and no, I don’t include housework on that
list, EVER) so I’m having a lovely day reading a murder mystery and wallowing
in songs from my youth. I have played
most of the Bee Gees back catalogue and remembered, not for the first time,
JUST how talented those guys were, creating some truly fantastic music

Islands in the Stream
I seem to have had the same song running round in my head for several days. It’s “Islands in the Stream”, composed by the versatile Brothers Gibb during the early 1980s and sung by the delightful Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers. It had a recent reprise following an episode of Gavin and Stacey when it was comically duet-ed by characters Bryn and Nessa as the accompaniment to a line dance. It’s all the fault of the BBC as they created a link to this and other comedy dance sketches from the Strictly site! I (really have) got somethin’ goin’ o-n
