That was summer...

Summer, with its downpours and grey, humid days, is upon us with a vengeance.  Admittedly, we’ve had an extended period of unseasonal, seasonal weather where blue skies and temperatures in the high 20s were recorded, but even on the hottest, bluest day, there was no doubt in anyone’s mind that it would last!  And we were right. Recent deluges have brought about the demise of two majestic but shallow rooted willow trees along the bank above the river path, and my cycle path has been customised to include several skid pans and off-roading experiences.  Here’s hoping for a drier autumn!
